The Friends of Tasty Morsels
Dews Meadow Farm - Local producers of top quality additive free pork.
I met Jane and Andy just over 10 years ago when they supplied the meat for our wedding which we celebrated at Fallowfields Country House Hotel (see below). Since then a lasting friendship has developed. Some 90% of our meat is purchased from their farm shop; they produce pork, award winning bacon and sausages, together with fantastic deli meats, whilst sourcing other meats from local farmers. A friendly welcome awaits you at their farm shop. You’ll find them on the A338 in East Hanney and at 10 farmers’ markets in Oxfordshire and Berkshire. I can’t recommend them highly enough.
Visit Shrivenham Farmers Market, buy better produce and support our local farmers.

I met Sally, producer of the fabulous Benenden Sauce, in 2001 at the Speciality and Fine Food Fair – armed with delicious baguettes and a huge bowl of Benenden Sauce – I was sold immediately. Sally is kept very busy producing vast quantities of this Kentish nectar!
Martin Brook travelled over to the UK in September 2004, where I met him at the Speciality and Fine Food Fair – he and his wife own a Macadamia Farm overlooking Byron Bay in New South Wales producing these fabulous oils and mueslis.
The mill is nestled in a most delightful setting just outside the village of Long Newnton, south of Tetbury – its residence for over 900 years. With a philosophy to produce the best quality, there is an outstanding range of organic flours to experiment with all types of bread. The team is extremely helpful with any queries you may have about bread making.
Situated in Wantage at the foot of the Downs and the Ridgeway, Wessex Mill now specialises in supplying small artisan bakers. The Munsey family has been milling for four generations and they produce a superb range of flours. Wheat is collected from local farms by the mill’s own lorries and the names of the farms appear on each package of flour you buy. Again, Paul and his team are extremely knowledgeable and helpful with any queries you may have.

Fallowfields Country Hotel and Restaurant:
Fallowfields in Kingston Bagpuize is a beautiful country house (once home to Begum Aga Khan), dating back over 300 years. Set in 12 acres of mature trees and magnificent gardens, the hotel offers an exquisite retreat. In October 1994 a leaflet dropped through out letterbox advertising evening meals at Fallowfields (just five miles away from us in Marcham). As we had some German friends staying with us, we decided to pay a visit one evening. Peta and Anthony were so welcoming - at the time, Peta was busy in the kitchen with Anthony looking after us in the restaurant; when it came to choosing a wedding venue, there was no contest, James, my husband-to-be seemed to read my mind!
It has been wonderful to see what Peta and Anthony have created in the ten years since we held our wedding there – a warm welcome from hosts Anthony and Peta Lloyd, Head Chef Adam Abbott and their staff awaits you, as does an exemplary level of service and understanding of your needs.
