How we started and what we do
Tasty Morsels started with my involvement firstly with the amazing Thermomix - indulging my fascination for gadgetry with the opportunity to produce fantastic tasty food quickly. Like many of you I've always had a keen interest in food - especially eating it! I enjoy cooking, but hate the chore of the daily "what will we have for dinner?" which plagues our modern lifestyle - combining work and family.
More importantly, recent food scares have highlighted many concerns about the source and traceability of the food we eat.
Wherever possible I now endeavour to source my ingredients as locally as possible, particularly supporting farmers' markets and many of the producers I have met there. I started and manage Shrivenham Farmers' Market, the first afternoon farmers' market in the UK.
However, there are also many talented producers throughout the UK, and my product selection at the shows and events I attend reflect the best of what I have found - very much a personal mix, but I think you will like it as well. I use many of the products I sell in both my cooking workshops as well as at home. I have met all the producers of these ingredients and in the main am supporting small cottage industries by selling them. My own range of products includes Vanilla Sugar, and for Christmas I produce Cranberry & Orange Sauce and Brandy Butter, Mince Pies, teabreads and Mango Chutney.
